Swisstainable

Nax Région Tourism is eco-responsible !

Nax Region Tourism pursues its commitment to green tourism, in accordance with the principles of eco-responsibility and now joins the Swissstainable label, the sustainability program of Swiss Tourism!

Already well engaged on the green path through labels such as "Cité de l'énergie" or its "Green Mobility" offer, Nax Region Tourism intends to expand its efforts.

Conscious of its responsibility for the environmentally friendly development of its region, Nax Région Tourism has joined forces with Swisstainable and confirms its desire to position itself both as a destination for sustainable travel and discovery and as a greener place to live for future generations as well.

Our mission statement

Preservation of the Vallon de Réchy

The Vallon de Réchy will be promoted in a number of ways by Nax Région tourisme, which aims to raise awareness of the area among hikers, mountain bikers and guests by 2025. The aim is to raise awareness of this sensitive and protected area, by means of signs placed along the marked trails through this magnificent site. A brochure or flyer will also be designed to provide the information needed to preserve the area.

Specific needs of people with reduced mobility

Nax region tourism, in partnership with the EMERA Foundation, is working on a project to provide better information for people with reduced mobility. Our website is currently being updated to provide information on access to the various tourist facilities in the commune, including accommodation, gastronomic and cultural facilities.

Hospitality & Respect

Since 2022, the Nax Region, in collaboration with the Petit Bonheur farm, has been putting up educational panels to help people get to know the animals at the travelling zoo. Other projects will follow between now and 2025, such as signs to encourage mutual respect on footpaths between mountain bikers and hikers, as well as signs to encourage respect for the environment, fauna, flora and equipment provided for guests in our region.
