The hiking itineraries may only be used by people with the required technique, physical condition and equipment for ski touring, including emergency equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe). Please stay on the marked routes to avoid the danger of avalanches.
Each hiker ascends and descends at his/her own risk and responsibility. All hikers are subject to the FIS rules and must follow the SKUS guidelines (Swiss Commission for the Prevention of Accidents on Snow Sports Slopes).
The slopes and downhill runs are closed outside of opening hours and may not be used. Grooming machines with traction cables - danger of death! Only the resort and the persons responsible for the safety of the lifts and groomers may open the slopes and downhill runs to ski tourers.
The Nax Region Tourist Office declines all responsibility in the event of an accident. Please follow the safety instructions.
The first ski touring route for children in the Valais !
Why shouldn't children have their own ski touring route ?
In Nax, we've done it!
We've created a fun, introductory itinerary so that children and beginners can discover this wonderful sport while having fun !
The route is accessed via the Dzorniva chairlift and starts behind the restaurant, just opposite the terrace. Head up through the pretty larch forest towards the ski slope, but don't cross it! Walk along it until you find a small, steep road. Now's the time to put your wedges in ! Follow this road and pass under the Vachette chairlift. This will take you to a lovely clearing where you'll find the first escape route to the Chiesso. If you wish, continue into the clearing and enter a second larch forest as far as the ski slope and cross it. You'll find the 2nd escape route. To reach the summit, carefully cross the piste and climb into the 3rd forest of sparse larches to reach the small hill above the Mont-Noble hut. To descend, join the Dzorniva via the ski slope.
